In addition to its special effects and content, the charming scenery of the films Pandora is the view of Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, China.

There are many famous tourist scenic spots in Zhangjiajie. The Zhangjiajie Forest Park, Yuanjiajie, Suspended Mountain, and the Glass Bridge.

But why are tens of thousands of people visiting every single day?

Is it the beautiful scenery or the highest outdoor elevator in the world?

A UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Wulingyuan scenic area of Zhangjiajie Forest Park in Hunan province China. The ‘Bailong Ladder’ with a total investment of 180 million RMB, was started in September 1999 and completed for trial operation in April 2002.

The Guinness World Record for the highest outdoor elevator in the world provides a combination of natural beauty and manmade. The Bailong Elevator has a vertical height of 335 meters with an operational height of 326 meters and takes only 66 seconds for visitors to reach the top of the cliff.

A little more than 1 minute and many visitors are unable to bring themselves to these heights and it’s often their biggest regret upon leaving.

It also won the Guinness world records for the highest outdoor elevator.
