In the past year, foreigners around the world bought 40 million nail products, 30 million sets of makeup tools, 10 million pairs of silk stockings, 10 million pairs of underwear, and 8 million lipsticks from AliExpress.
In the underwear sector, Russians bought 5 million pairs of silk stockings in 2018, while the United States bought the most underwear at over 800,000 pairs.
Hair loss and baldness is a problem seen around the world and recently hair growth products have sky-rocketed to over 150% in the past year.
Male users purchasing hair loss products has increased by 11%.
Thanks to China’s powerful wig production supply chain, Chinese wigs have become one of the most sought-after items on AliExpress for overseas consumers.
Many celebrities bought wigs made in Xuchang(许昌), Central China’s Henan Province — the “city of wigs.”

The biggest wig sales were seen in the United States, Britain, France, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Italy with wig products over billions of dollars in sales per year.
Wigs on AliExpress are a luxury item, selling for an average of $100 to $300 but going up to as much as $800.
